For all you Croc lovers

"I wonder what the avid indoorman wears?"

Happy to oblige

First up the cushy recovery slide from Cushionaire, perfect after long runs or for watering the garden

Next Reefs, see @BAKPAKR for the full review

Next my 90% the Allbird lounger, super comfy, light, and washable. You can just toss them in the wash, nice enough for the office, but won't let you down hunting private land muley's out of blind. Perhaps the greatest show for flying of all time. This pair has done 4 trips to Alaska.

Last, Gerlups... honestly outrageously bougie, but super warm and comfy. Great fall/winter footwear, you absolutely look like a Nordic gnome wearing them and who doesn't love that.

I bought a pair of Crocs for a summer backpacking trip for camp shoes and river crossing.

On wet mossy rocks they are worthless, but I do like em for water shoes.

I won't wear Flip flops and I won't wear any sandals. So crocs until something better comes along...I'm looking

Last summer before my lake trip , I tried to get some good keen’s for my trip , everywhere was sold out of their stock , I waited till to late in the summer, I came across these for less than half the cost of keens and was pleasantly surprised , there like a neoprene slip on , fit tight , dry out quick, can wear with or without sock ,
A great water and creek shoe , IMO there ain’t no shoes for wet mossy rocks in water , walk with caution or down you go !!!!

Last 2 trips to AK I've used neoprene socks for river crossings and I think that's the move or at least the only other good option besides keeping your boots on.

They keep your feet from going number, have as good traction as going barefoot, and are super light. 🤷‍♂️

A neoprene sock , I bet surfing boots would be good. They have traction on the bottom

"I blew out my flip flop, stepped on a pop top
Cut my heel, had to limp on back home.
But there's booze in the blender and soon it will render
that frozen concoction that helps me hang on."
Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville.

I have a pair of croc-offs from the thrift store. Excellent camp and creek crossing shoes, with or without socks.

Aren't crocs supposed to be the end-all be-all backcountry camp shoe?

I mean, I can see it, but if I go that route it's going to be $12 walmart crocs
Been there, done that. Rockin' 4-wheel drive Crocs now. Buy once cry once. Not three times like me (wife's dog did the number on Crocs 1.0)
