Word is they are waiting for Jimmy Garoppolo to be released.

Apparently he decided better to get $6.5M for sitting on the sideline hoping to Lance fails than to get traded to the crap Seahawks for the year.

That's sort of a no-brainer, but is there ever a better job than back-up NFL quarterback? Pays great to sit on the bench and stay in one piece.

I think it's a genius idea. I just can't understand all the Jimmy hate. The guy wins, everyone he plays around loves him. I'm happy they didn't cut him he's too valuable to have that happen. It opens the door that someone somewhere will need a QB it could be my 9ers for all i know but I bet when the need comes they'll get some compensation for him.

Also shows a lot of the front office, the staff and the team IMO.

They may still trade him its weird that the kept Brock Purdy on the 53 man roster. Maybe they don't plan on having Jimmy all year..

It could be a lot worse. Lock was the alternative and he is just not NFL material. Denver found that out the hard way.

At least Geno was good in college.

One of the greatest players to watch. The E60 documentary of him coming up through high school into college is incredible
