Football General Talk

The story is that Belichek wanted to cut Brady when JG's contract was due and at the last minute Brady when to Kraft and Kraft forced Bill B to trade JG and that Belichek almost resigned over it because he saw Brady as over the hill and JG was going to set him up for another 10 yr run. Whoops.
With BB coaching JG...probably has a 10 year run.

Whatever. Maybe not. But he was just playing for the NFC championship. A whole bunch of "better" quarterbacks were watching from their couches. I like him enough. If nothing else, he isn't a primadonna.
Cost me $5. I had SF covering the spread.

Football is won and lost in the trenches when it's win or go home and the rams are 10 fold better on both sides of the trenches.

The best performing QB won today in each game. In two weeks, the best QB on the field will also win. If the Rams QB is healthy and on the field, Rams win by 9 or more. There are players, coaches and support staff that have been in a Super Bowl. Can be distracting if never been in a Super Bowl two-week goldfish bowl. Buddies from 3rd grade are calling Burrows as are distant cousins and siblings and parents and tailors and car detailers and even media types and they all want Super Bowl tickets. Any player with a secret to hide is getting squeezed the next two weeks for either hush money or the threat the story gets told. The pressure is more intense than any college game or any other NFL playoff game. Failure in two weeks on Sunday follows you forever since 2nd Place is the first loser here in America.

Cam draws a lot of haters. A person could speculate why. He managed to win a MVP award one season. You don't win that because you dress flamboyantly.

Like many other football players, the violence of the game took its toll on him. One of my favorite players of all time is Earl Campbell. He dished out violent hits on nearly every carry. Then he gets to spend the bulk of his life broken down, to where he can barely walk.
