Fly Rod help

For the record I have broken 3 tips in 48 years. Broken rods don't come from " I fish alot", they come from poor casting skills, blind inattention, and a little bad luck for good measure.
You forgot kids...
This and this.

I got out of fly fishing originally after slamming a rod in a car door fussing with a car seat.

Most recently I stepped on my Echo 7'6" 3wt and broke the tip section. I was able to buy a new tip direct from Echo.

I’m bias but I think it’s a pretty good deal for a first rod/reel combo. The reel is probably the nicer of the two.

My first rod was an echo 5 wt. I really like the echos for the price/warranty if you’re looking for a quality starter rod at a reasonable price.

That is a good combo. Those Gurus are awesome, I have 3 of them.
