Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

First truck and current truck.

1988 F150 4x4 4.9L 6cyl 5spd manual. Bought in 2009, sold in 2018. Still had under 200k on it but spent it’s whole life being eaten by rust in MN. I still miss this truck almost daily.

2004 F150 4x4 5.4L V8 Auto. Bought in 2018. It just hasn’t got any soul. But been an ok ride but not without its issues.

My first truck was a 1999, white, manual Ram 1500 that I bought when I was 16. My current truck is a 2000, maroon, automatic Ram 1500.

First car 93 Fox, didn't have the $1800 to buy it so I remodeled my grandma's bathroom and laundry room in exchange for her getting it for me. Learned how to drive a manual in that thing. Still have it and will do a full restore one of these days. Screenshot_20210828-122944_Facebook.jpgfirst truck, 2003 F150 with 50k miles. Was like a new truck when I got it.
Was only 2wd and I learned pretty quickly I needed something 4x4

first “truck” was a basic model
ford courier bought new for me in 1978.

current is a 2010 Tibdra double cab TRD. Added a nice new custom suspension all around and a few inches of lift last year. how do you hope to drive this truck another 10 years only has 120k on it.

90 bronco XLT, silver and black with red interior. Exterior locking hubs, brights on the floor. Didn't pass emissions when I tried to sell it, so it was donated in 2002 or 2003, got a few hundred bucks in tax deduction. Definitely not worth it.

98 Tacoma, drive to 200k and still spun like a top. Trained my best dog in that truck.

Had an 04 avalanche that I picked up with 70k and drove to 250k, dual exhaust, chipped, intake manifold. Dvd player in the back for hunting buddies and kids. Deer and duck hunters dream.

Now a 13 f150 xlt. Very vanilla, but had 37.5 gallon tank, satellite radio and plenty of room for kids and the pup.

My father's '69 Ford F100, straight 6 with 3 on the column got me through High School. The first one I bought was a used '71 Chevy blazer with 3 on the column. Really great memories with that rig !! Current is a 2022 F250, 7.3, Lariat. Kinda spoiled now.

During my punk ass years I was a jeep guy, driving a '69 Jeepster Commando and a '74 Landcruiser.
Didn't buy a truck until I was maybe 27 years old. I think this was a '89 Nissan.
Hated the paint job but that truck would go anywhere.
