What a fun and rewarding first ever bear hunt. I have carried a bear tag a handful of times through the years just in case the opportunity presented itself, but this was the first year ever going on hunts exclusively looking for bear. Made a few day hunt back in early may, with no luck, but dedicated 7 days right at the end of the season and went for it again. 2 days before the closing date, I spotted 2 bears, and was able to seal the deal on the second one. Definitely a rewarding experience that will have me buying more tags in the future!! There’s a lot to learn when it comes to bear hunting, and I’m excited to start refining my skills in this category as well as elk and deer.
