Frequency of bear returning

Im interested in anyone’s experience with baiting bears more so in the fall than the spring. But my question is how often do bears return to bait stations after the hunter stops baiting? Is it more of a routine thing for them or are they only coming in if they smell fresh food? Curious if its after a few days or possibly weeks? I ask because I was thinking of hunting an area for deer after the bear baiters have gone and didnt know if itd be worth buying a bear tag as well.

They come through for quite awhile. I have left cameras out over the summer and they will come back and check out the old bait site for months.
