I just read this article on it. Pretty cool if the claims turn out to be legit.

Already a thread...general consensus is that it won't last

Thanks, I missed it.

Im hoping for a 300wsm back country next
Interesting to watch. Sounds like it’s basically the reinvention of cases and powders I guess. Lots of chamberings to reinvent that would be interesting. Some reinvented chamberings might eliminate their modern day competitors.

Isn’t the 7BC basically a 280AI with a new case material and powder?

Would a 300wsmBC eliminate the 300PRC?

Imagine what a .270BC, 30.06BC, .338WMBC, .284WinBC, .308WinBC would be and what modern day cartridges would be defunct. And I wonder if BC type rifles would be backwards compatible with the older cartridges?

Now let’s really get creative.
What about straight walled BCs?

It appears to be an 06'ish shaped/sized case but its not the same as a 280AI which also has the 06 as a parent case a couple steps back.

Jumping the gun there. Have yet to prove out how they'd be manufactured at scale, if they are reasonably reloadable for the handloader, if they can achieve the same precision at these higher pressures, or any other possible issues.

Now let’s really get creative.

I'm not sure if straight wall cartridges would be as good a fit for the really high pressure applications.. 350 legend was kind of alone at the top with a SAAMI max of 55k psi IIRC.
