Can someone explain the legality of buying an automatic online. Looks like my state is legal for <3.5"...what am I missing?
Ordered one from BLADE HQ, no questions asked. They are legal in my state so I'm sure they are screening addresses. I know some sites ask for credentials but they don't.

Victorinox Swiss Army Tinkerer
Large blade for food, small blade for packaging and all else. Beer opener gets lots of use, amazing how often I use the Philips screwdriver. Easy to sharpen, and inexpensive to replace when I lose one to TSA.

For truly everyday carry it was a Leatherman Micra on the keychain until I was in a rush at the airport and sacrificed it to clear security screening. Now I'm using a small Victorinox on the keychain. For outdoors adventuring, I keep a Benchmade Grizzly folder in packbelt pouch, or in a cargo
pocket.

Just ordered a MKC after watching him show meatheads how to sharpen a knife.
Guy knows his stuff and I learned that method 45 years ago.

As if I need another knife.

Generally speaking the etailers normally say something like it’s the responsibility of the buyer to be in compliance with their state and county laws.

I’ve had no issues with it in TN.
