EMERGENCY!!! Returning to the dream of one hunting rifle…

Well I am OCD but in a different way. I cant have a one gun does all. BUT if I could only have one gun forever to hunt it all? 270WSM. For some reason I sold my Tikka and made my buddy promise of he doesn't use it he has to sell it back.

But just like all different kinds of boots for different things, I must have a different gun for each species. Unless I am on a combo hunt. Then I go through anguish trying to decide, a little less or a little much. Its awful.

That's how you get safes full of guns you don't shoot ( or never have), because you never go after the critter is was bought for.

Well, I’ve solidly decided it’s time to go to a shorter barrel and a suppressor.

Current thought - Seekins PH3 in 7 prc with a 22 inch barrel with a DEAD AIR NOMAD TI XC. Still going to drop my 3 to 15 VX5HD on it, but considering a Mark 4 for NRL stuff.

Other ideas? I don’t know much about suppressors, but I like the reviews on this one so far. It’s short and lightweight, but sounds effective for sound management.

I want to use the suppressor on “everything;” big game, predator, target, and more. I love putting miles on my feet.

7mm REM Mag is the big brother of 280ai. The rifle will do everything you would want to do.

My suppressor is a Thunderbeast 7”. I bought due to weight. It works fine.

It needs a couple grand of upgrades to be what I want. I could rebarrel my 6.5 cm… maybe that’s what I should do…

My son rebarreled his Tikka 270 to 280ai. You can buy a custom barrel ready to screw into the action and thread a suppressor. He did the work himself.

Great starting point for a 6.5 SAUM build that’ll knock down any and everything, plus be lights out for NRL Hunter.

This would be a good all one-only, around rifle and a fun project as well.
