I took my boots off one year and was minding my own business taking a nap when this rag head rudely woke me up. So I zipped an arrow thru him. I never got up from the tree I was leaned against just shot him sitting there on my ass at 25 yards. Then jumped up and started fist pumping the air only to stomp on a cactus

I think most people don’t realize actually how big a 300” elk is. I’ve seen some other pics you have thrown up of that bull. Hell of a critter I sure would have been happy with it

We killed a bull one day on a buddies le tag. He asked me what I thought I said 310-320 I’d euro it. He responded with works for me and we broke it down. Later that night I get a phone call was like 354”. He bought a cape

Here’s a couple. My recollection is that these were both close to 260. Cant remember exact measurements.

1st one is my first bull from NM and the biggest body old bull i’ve killed. he’s an even 5x5. 2nd bull is a OTC CO bull. he’s 6x6 but the 5th on the left side is only a couple inches long.
