Elk .... Let's see them!!!

2011 archery spike, after watching the whole herd work past me I got mean and shot this guy straggling behind. It was also a last day deal so my standards had gotten pretty low.

My boy Sam's first elk, taken today.

My first bull. 5x6 taken in S. W. Montana in November of 2010. Took me 10 years to finally get one with horns. Fell in the Madison trying to get to him. I think it was about -15 with wind chill.

After looking over this thread, I've determined I suck at elk hunting.

I know your pain. My one and only addition to this fine collection.

I believe my dad called it a calf with antlers, but my smile was covering my ears. Not a great representative of an AZ bull, but I was (and am still) thrilled to be on the board with my bow.

What unit was the one in WY from 2011 your buddy got? I noticed the long downturned brow-tine. Me and my buddy have killed two rags in WY with almost identical downturned brows. Curious if it is same genetics/herd.

2006 bull from one of the lesser Missouri Breaks units.
