I've been informed that when we move to our new house next month, I get to have some creative control over any new art / photographs, but that any mounts will have to go in the garage or elsewhere ha. So I'm looking for inspiration and to see what others have for Elk art / photographs in their house. My obsession with elk has apparently spilled over to my step daughter, so we're all in on a bunch of elk pieces for the house. Let's see 'em!

Hi, thank you for the shout out folks. Much appreciated. I have a gallery with just a few elk images at this location. https://pixels.com/profiles/1-tony-bynum/collections/elk+wapiti If you want signed give me a call or DM. Anyone going to the Hunting Film Tour at the Newberry in Great Falls, Montana on July 7th 2022 can have a crack at a matted 20" of one of the most famous bull elk in the history of elk photography - and no, it's not the bull from Estes Park (but that was an awesome elk) it's a 400+ inch bull that is absolutely the most beautiful specimen I have ever captured on camera. He died a day after this image (which is the one being given away at the Hunting Film Tour on July 7 in great falls Montana). This is the photo when it was on the cover of an Eastmans Elk Hunting book (I have personally had this elk on 27 covers and who knows how many editorial images, others may recognize the horizontal image of him.

Here's the link to the Hunting Film Tour in Great Falls, sponsored by Montana Wildlife Federation. https://thenewberrymt.com/event/the...NF4w1Jq7_mYI2i3XKkuf6fpQ8uKwhbbe-cdv20wxZ5VZM (hopefully I did not break any rules for making this post with the links).

I have an elk photography ebook if anyone's interested as well. It's free: https://www.tonybynum.com/sign-up-for-tony-bynums-content

🎶 I use antlers in aaaallll of my decoooraaaating 🎶

The shed is one of the biggest I ever found - and we live in a very old house in Denver (build in 1893) so it was a great piece for the funky non-existent fireplace jut in the wall. The cow skull is the one I had over my bed growing up since I was 8 years old. We have a bunch of other sheds / skulls / taxidermy around. There's a way to do it tastefully!

I’m a big fan of some of Joel Pilcher’s work. One of these days I might might get his kudu piece… or the cape buff… or maybe a different one if I can make up my mind long enough to order it. I like the dark themed b&w ones because they are different than the wildlife photos on my walls currently. On his website there are also some nice elk pieces that you might find interesting.

That's impressive stuff there. Do you also take people hunting when you take the pictures? Just looking for a 300 bull. 😉

Not sure how big your budget is but there is a place we go to in Dubois Wyoming,
awesome place for horns and designs. I’m not into art much but find what this guy does incredible.
