I just load mine but I do have a deck in rear and rack on front. My front rack holds a long milk crate and that's very helpful for a collect all.

You would want the deer hauler to 90 up to have it higher than the hitch receiver, my receiver drags going through ditches. Also having that added weight far back would not be easy to steer or go up steep inclines.

Another vote for getting a small trailer. You can find them used for fairly cheap, and you'd be surprised how much they come in handy for yard work and stuff as well.
