I have been contemplating a new side by side shotgun for a while. I was looking at the RFM shotguns, imported and sold by the Upland Gun Company, as an option. The price on them was far more than I’ve ever spent on a firearm, so I was considering it as a retirement gift when that day comes.
Thinking more, I decided maybe I didn’t want to wait until I retired to enjoy a fine shotgun. I was perusing some websites one evening, and thinking outside of the box. I happened upon a little AyA 20 gauge at a well known dealer.
I called him up, only to find the gun was sold. I was bummed, because it was entirely in the price range I was anticipating. He referenced me to another gun on his website. It was spendy. Along the lines of the RFM guns.
We began to dicker. I conferred with the CFO. She asked if it was a gun I’d use forever. Yep. She green lighted the transaction and the next day the dealer and I reached an agreement. I’ll be picking up OT where I can, and I sold my 16 gauge to fund the purchase.
I’m currently waiting for this to be released from firearm jail.

I’m like a kid at Christmas right now. I may need to have the stock bent a little, and possibly open the full choke to a modified or improved modified, but this little 20 should be an absolute dream to carry around the uplands for the rest of my ambulatory days.
Finn and Charli approve of this purchase. Time to order a few cases of 20 gauge…
