After 14 years of putting in for this tag, and wondering if the fires would keep me out of the area I wanted to hunt, everything lined up and I got my ram. Had my son with me and he saw this sheep almost a mile away and we hiked off the river and by the time we got to him, he had bedded down with another young ram and laid under a pine for 45 minutes. He finally stood up to stretch and I was able to put a bullet in him. Amazing country and a life changing experience for sure, still can't believe everything worked out.Thanks for all the tips and advice from this forum this summer.
