Doctor wait times in your area ?

Specific to GI doctors is how they are compensated for consultations vs procedures. I'm not going to know numbers, but you make more money doing scopes than talking to people, so days spent on scopes are far more attractive.

Called my GP a week ago. Appointment next day. Referral to orthopedic folks (hand issue). Appointment with them next week.
I'm in generally the same area as F250 and for most stuff, waits are short here. Some specialists are months out, but I'm often pushing appointments further out than they need to be to meet my schedule.

My daughter is allergic to dairy and peanuts. Her allergist is about a year out. She also had to see a pediatric endocrinologist and those appointments were way out there as well. Both located in st. Louis so not a rural issue.

Specialists are long waits but .i can get into my primary care doc in a day or so. They keep a lot of time slots open for people who come down with an illness. If you want to schedule a annual check up then it might be a few weeks.
