Ninth day, and countless miles a foot and in the truck. Finally paid off on my second choice buck.

my last several seasons. first pick is az 3c otc archery,solo, second is az unit 1rifle,draw hunted with my brother, third is an Az 24a otc solo archery coues 4th and 5th are shots i passed up when I thought i was a trophy hunter, the final one is the buck I took in January Az otc 36c, solo. All were still hunted or spot and stalk

My biggest with a bow. He snapped his foot after the shot running through the swamp. Sounded like a gun shot when it snapped and he tumbled so, be careful when running through a swamp

2013 Whitetail Archery

Cant claim this one, but I can give a big high five to my friend and hunting partner. Killed on the last day of the 2013 Indiana archery season and I had to share it with you. My friend is too modest (busy actually) to do it himself.

My wifes grandpa shot this deer. 37 inside, I'm ruined for life looking at this thing each day and then seeing a "modern" montana trophy of 25 wide and a score of 165-170. Mule deer in Montana have suffered greatly the last 10 years. Sure there are a few every year that are great but the number of them is getting smaller each year.

Good luck on your up coming hunt. I'll be curious to see what size you'll be able to drum up around here.
