Daylight Savings time

I’m in the permanent DST camp. Sunrise at 9am is fine by me. I’d rather go to work in the dark than have it be dark when works over.

Plus, it means I wouldn’t need to get up “early” at all to hunt the sunrise. That alone is benefit enough.

Where I live changing the clocks makes good sense. If we stayed on DST it wouldn’t get light in the winter until 8 or 8:30. Kids would be waiting for the bus or walking to school in the dark. People would be crabby the first hour or two at work until the sun showed itself. I did 3 dark Fairbanks winters, that was as enough. If we stayed on ST it would start to get light around 4 or 4:30 am in the summer. That would be a waste of daylight that can be used to enjoy the evening
