Well, I hunted white sheep in AK the same year as Spotted Owl. I can tell you that what I paid the outfitter for that hunt would not be enough for the deposit now.

no. Camp boots. It was a pretty good pull to the spike camp from the wood river.
I brought a super light pair of sneakers. No way I would pack those xtrattufs to camp

Best money I have ever spent. Alaska Range out of Healy. Ram is 38 on his long side with 13” bases. He thins out pretty quick which doesn’t score well with him.
He was right next to a heavy ram with a bloomed left horn. I had my pic and took the one with lamb tips. No regrets.
