I know everything is supposed to be political, but can we pause and talk about guns and hunting?

Sent a 9422 I bought in 1979 to Paul to rebuild, tune trigger and action, and get rid of the horrible plastic/varnish finish.

Action smooth as silk, trigger crisp, wood finish like glass, checkering excellent. Another @p_ham masterpiece.

I am not worthy, for those who get the reference.

Honestly, can't remember, although that sounds right. Just before US Repeating Arms went bankrupt.

Wasn't a bad rifle except for the trigger and the awful varnish finish, and Paul fixed both. Trigger breaks like the classic glass rod. Not, of course, as light as a bolt, but something about a lever...

And I don't know how he gets the smooth-as-glass oil finish, but he does.

Gunsmith magic.

Beautiful!! You got your money's worth on this one.

One of these days, after I get a few more things checked off my “must have/do” list, I might send Paul a 22 lever action to work over.
