Control Freaks on the Left

It never ends.

I have come to the conclusion that this world is made up of more people that care about feelings than logic.

They would shit themselves if they came to my house and chatted with my 5 year old daughter.

In the few weeks, we have had some things happen...

Lost a dog due to extreme illness (had to put down)
We just took possession of 40 chickens, 25 will be butchered here in the fall.
We just took possession of two geese, with 2 more on the way. We will eat the offspring.
My daughters both shoot and our oldest hunts (filled 4 tags last year).
We shoot dangerous bows everyday, and guns quite often.
Ask my 5 year old what we do with various animals and her response is "we eat it".

The thought is completely lost in society that we are stewards of the lands and the animals, and they provide for us. Trophy hunting is a bi-product of that. The idea that hunting is conservation is gone. The idea that we can be self sufficient is gone.

With the current state of affairs, I believe the nation is going to continue to fall towards socialism and the government is here to help.

Best we can do is pray everyday, hunt and fish, and at every opportunity, pass down our knowledge to anyone who is willing to take it in

My cousin was over yesterday with his four kids. They all shot bows and loved it. Plans are for them to come up more and do the same. We will do everything we can to pass on the legacy.

Pass it on.

I agreed with 99% of your remarks, but would tweak this one sentence a little. My view is, "that this world is made up of an ever increasing number people that care so much about THEIR feelings that they feel compelled to force those feelings on others."

Not really a feelings vs. logic thing from my perspective. There are thoughtful and "logical" (even if I very much disagree with them) arguments against human use of animals for food or killing them for recreation. The problem is not that a person could have these thoughts, but that they feel like they should be able to use the force of law and social shaming to demand others agree with them.

It will probably fall on deaf and angry ears but I got the email address off of the One Green Planet site and wrote a short message to this group. My message was not hateful and demeaning. I just defended hunting and fishing. I cannot imagine that I will receive a reply back.

I gave them another positive tic for their website viewing... 😟 Haha!

They're on par w/ Center For Biological Diversity

“Facing ongoing threats and occupying a fraction of their historic range, grizzly bears are nowhere near recovery. These beautiful and beleaguered animals certainly shouldn’t be shot for cheap thrills or a bearskin rug.”. - Andrea Santarsiere, a senior attorney with the Center for Biological Diversity

kill animals for fun and keep their remains as trophies. But animals’ lives are not just theirs to take. These are living, sentient beings. It shouldn’t be a “sport” to kill them for fun.
