Tough hunting this year. Too darn hot, too many cattle, and a lot of hunting pressure. Only saw one bull but was blessed to harvest this nice cow elk on the last morning. Got her packed out, packed up camp, and drove straight home to Indiana.

Good job!

For what it's worth, that first photo made me cringe a little with your gun pointed at your head.

Congrats. I've shot a few cows myself. They're delicious. Either sex with any weapon is good in my book especially in a crowd in warm weather.

Camera angle does make it look like that but it is actually well away from me. Always keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction! Even if it is a muzzleloader that takes serious effort to load.

I would like to thank all of my Hunt Talk family for the congratulating me on my harvest. Truth is I wouldn't have done as well with out you and Big Finn. The tips and knowledge I have gained since I have been on here has been a blessing. Yea, I have taken my faith share of big game in my days, but I have learned more in the year just from being on here than I could ever imagined. Hope to run into you guys in the field someday and thank you in person! Good luck there are plenty of days left to hunt get those freezers filled!
