Here is the mighty SEC's records against BCS schools.
SEC vs BCS Schools

West (4-3)
Alabama (1-0)
Auburn (1-0)
Arkansas (0-1)
Ole Miss (1-0)
Texas A&M (1-0)
Miss State (0-1)
LSU (1-0)

East (2-4)
South Carolina (1-0)
Georgia (0-1)
Florida (0-1)
Tennessee (0-1)
Kentucky (0-1)
Vanderbilt (0-0)
Missouri (1-0)

and yet they still have more top ranked teams than any other conference. 3 teams in the top 9, 5 in the top 12, and 7 in the top 21. pretty impressive for one conference. I would say that the conference is a mighty one. no other conference has to play this many tough games thru the season.

1 - Bama
6 - LSU
9 - Georgia(lost to #3 Clemson on the road)
10 - Texas A&M
12 - South Carolina
20 - Florida
21 - Ole Miss

Yea Bama has it so tough. 2 tough games and 2 FCS games along with a bunch of mediocre to terrible FBS games. They play a whopping 2 FBS teams that had a winning record in their conference last year, combined 29-51. And they played 2 FCS teams with a combined conference record of 6-10. Might as well pencil them into the NC game already.

Aug. 31 Hokies Virginia Tech Hokies (4-4)

Sept. 14 Aggies at Texas A&M Aggies (6-2)

your hating on the top conference is pathetic. playing 3 top 25 teams just to make the conference championship game is not a cake walk. they've already beat then number 6 A&M on the road.

who is your team again? and conference?

and why are you using last years records? auburn is 3-1. LSU ranked #6. ole miss undefeated. Arkansas is 3-1. hell, even Tennessee is 2-2. sorry Tom.

For a guy that likes numbers so much I can't believe you missed these............... 3 out of the last 4.

Like 'Bama. Still have to get by Georgia (my choice) for the SEC title. Should be the national title.

ACC has legitimate chance with Clemson. Florida State is legit!

PAC 10 with Oregon is the screwball. Their offense style give Alabama the most trouble. Might be a good bet in Vegas.

BIG 10 with Ohio State. Overrated team in an overrated conference with a great coach.

Big 12 . Maybe, don't know. Maybe Oklahoma. Have to develop a quaterback and beat Texas. Might be Texas signature win for a coach in troulble. Longshot!

So facts are pathetic? Time to grow up an act like an adult. Stop all the childish name calling crap, you have embarrassed yourself enough on this thread, no need to continue to do so. I don't hate any of those teams.

Just pointing out that Bama only plays 2 FBS teams with winning conference records last year. That is a fact.

Bama is 1-19 in conference games against teams who finished in the AP top 10. That is a fact.

Plenty of other teams will play 3 top 25 teams to win a conference. That is also a fact.

SEC has a losing record against BCS conferences this year. That is a fact.

Do I think there are some good teams in the SEC, yes. No argument.

Do I think Auburn, Arkansas, Tennesee, and Miss St are good. No

To answer your question I attended both OU and OSU. I graduated from OSU and they are my team. Conference is the Big 12, they are having the worst season in their history so far this season. I am not afraid to admit it. Texas is down, KSU and ISU have lost to FCS teams, KU is terrible as usual, WVU got slammed by Maryland last week, etc... We still have a shot with OU, OSU, and Baylor looking good so far. OU really needs to beat ND this week, ND does not look that good either.

Oregon looks like the best team by a wide margin.

Spook,
You are correct but I think we would both agree that Auburn is nothing compared to the team who won a Natty. Amazing how quickly things can change. Much like Arkansas when Petrino left and they went from a preseason top 10 team to a team who could barely win a game. Good coaching seems to go a long way.

When do you expect Arkansas to be back to where they were under Petrino?

As soon as Bielema (the best hire last year) gets his system in place. My guess is he has 4 years to show something or he's gone.

Here's some more numbers for you.
63 SEC
30 ACC
28 Pac12
22 Big12
21 Big East
20 Big10

facts are not pathetic. only people who use twisted facts are. and you using stats(facts)from last year, is pathetic. never called you a name in the last couple three posts. nice try. not embarrassed at all. you should be. you are the one who condemned an entire town for what happened at a college there. n and have been bad mouthing the SEC from the get go.

"Plenty of other teams will play 3 top 25 teams to win a conference. That is also a fact." name them. and please make them from the SAME conference. after all, that's what a SEC team will have to do.

Facts are facts, nothing twisted about them. You just can't handle the truth. Not sure why a Illinois fans from Big 10 country is getting so upset because of some facts that show the SEC does lose some games to other conferences.

You are quite the internet fighter. All you do is talk personal trash. You never actually make a point or back your statements up with any facts. Makes you look bad.

You keep bringing up Missoula and the University of Montana. Do you want to discuss that or what? Read up that subject first. Will save you from making a fool of yourself again. The DA's office and local PD was involved and were investigated and changes the way they do business to prevent future problems. So you are wrong again, imagine that. Keep in mind you are the one bringing this up not me.

I want to see if you learned from your last mistake where you made a fool of yourself. BTW who was the last 2 teams to play in a NC game other than Alabama? Answer is ND and LSU.

Well since there are 4 top 15 teams in the Big 12 (OU, OSU, TT, and Baylor,)So that will mean every team in the Big 12 will play 3 teams who are ranked right now. 6 of those will play 4 ranked teams. There are also some PAC teams who will play 3 teams who are ranked right now. See Oregon, Stanford, ASU, and Washington.

Spook. Please understand I am not aysing the SEC is weak, they are clearly the conference to beat. However they are not invincible.

No doubt they put more players in the NFL than anybody else, that is a fact. No argument here. What is surprising is how many players the ACC puts in the NFL. What is really interesting is that they only have 3 BCS wins in nearly 15 years. For some reason all the NFL talent they have does not equate to big bowl wins like it does for the SEC.

...incessantly calling 556 pathetic is....well, sorta pathetic. It's freakin sports, eyeball chewing gum... we're all hardheaded opinioated alphas.

using stats from last year to compare to this year is distorting things. twisting is another word for it.

can't handle the truth? what, are you Jack now?

giving the CURRENT records is using facts. makes me look like I can look things up on the internet. just like you do. so if that makes me look bad, it does the same for you, right?

thanks for the info on those teams. too tired to look it up this morning when I got home from work. but you may want to edit your post. there are only 2 top 15 teams from the big 12 right now. not 4.

just for that, if I make it over your way during the Arkansas bear hunt, going to make your alpha self buy the first round.;)

so do you think that the Pac12 is weak again this year? :) just razzin' ya from all our talk last year.

Someone must have Freudian Penus Envy....

No offense taken TLC...it is what it is---2-2---now we get a walkover then GA, SC and BAMA in a row....guess Wyo556 favorite team has a tuffer schedule....

bobbydean, UGA has to get by LSU to play Bama or someone in SEC Champs game.....SEC Champ could easily have two losses, in conference.....so would that mean they don't deserve a shot at Nat Champs????
