It's finally here! All packed and ready to head out early tomorrow morning. Stopping to visit family in Loveland tomorrow night, then off to Unit 211 for a week of elk hunting. My wife is tagging along to enjoy the scenery and try to figure out why her husband has such a passion for this sport! She hasn't seen the mountains for almost 40 years and is looking forward to some quiet time. Shooting an elk is secondary to the time we get to spend together. Just returned from CO. Long story made short, we chased elk around for 8 days, I screwed up the only chance we had and came home with no elk, but tons of memories my wife and I will share forever.
