Hey Magicman....let me know how your son makes out in unit 49 this fall...I'm packing 8 elk points and at 67-years young have figured on cashing them in on unit 48 or 49 next year but other than the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness area I haven't got a clue as to where to scout. A little hint to a general area would be appreciated as I'm 2000-miles away. I hope to do a quick scout this Sept. prior to heading over the hills to Gunnison for a muzzle/cow hunt with my wife. That 2000-mile scout is brutal!!!

I will be 70 and will only be accompanying Marty on his hunt. I understand the long range scouting because we are about 1200 miles away.

I used my 16 PP's on a Unit 61 2nd rifle hunt last year, so this puts both of us out of the PP creep/chase.
