Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

CO Bill to ban Semi rifles and shotguns moves to senate floor.

These idiot politicians are out of control. They cite the failure of the high capacity magazine ban, which is a direct failure of the states inability to enforce the ban. The ATF doesn’t care and won’t enforce it on the state’s behalf because it’s a state regulation.

Last year they voted to make a duplicative state FFL license for gun dealers and they still don’t know how to implement that either (in reality it’s just another tax).

Why not just enforce the laws they already made? Or the litany of other gun control measures already in place? Nah, instead let’s just make more procedural BS and fees for the law abiding citizens who aren’t the ones committing crimes.

Enforcing laws already in place does not tell their constituents "Look what I did for you after you elected me!".

Without a prior hunter safety certification

"To qualify for the carveout, a gun purchaser would have to be vetted by their local sheriff through a process similar to what’s required to obtain a concealed carry permit. Then, if they already have a hunter safety certification, they would have to complete a roughly four-hour training course to be offered by a third-party vendor — someone who is a qualified firearms instructor — through Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Without a prior hunter safety certification, a purchaser would have to complete roughly a dozen hours of training over two days."

Since their argument is that 18-20 year old's aren't mentally capable of owning guns or ammunition, should we just go ahead and make the voting age 21? And must be 21 to enlist in the military?

Because Everytown, Giffords-Busse, Bloomberg, etc are major campaign donors and political influencers in the Denver-Boulder metro. Dems need their support and those groups need new bills every session to raise money and maintain relevance. None of this has anything to do with public safety.

Military makes men of 18 year old boys. Better citizens.

21 won’t work in a war situation.
I was being sarcastic.

They're saying 18-20 year old's aren't mentally capable of owning guns or ammunition. If that's the case then why should those people be allowed to vote? Oh wait, that's one of their target markets for votes.

Got it.

I agree with you.
