We don’t usually do a big Christmas dinner but seeing those prime ribs is making me reconsider…. Breakfast is normally our big meal that day - homemade biscuits and cinnamon rolls, fresh sausage, bacon, tenderloin, country ham, skillet potatoes, sawmill gravy and chocolate gravy

Smoked a prime rib for myself and the girls the other night…. King crab legs and bacon wrapped filets with the in laws tomorrow…. Then racks of lamb for the girls and I Christmas night. Lots of good eats and good company! Merry Christmas hunt talkers!View attachment 307406

Spent the morning trying to call in a Christmas gobbler. Looks like its going to be ham.
Still birds out there but I wanted two days in the brine.

It’s a southern thing but I don’t care for it. But my wife does so guess what’s on the menu

I’m laid up on the couch or I’d be smoking a tri tip or prime rib. Wifes making a ham, twice baked potatoes, and green bean casserole for the wife, kids,mother in law and I. Will also have some dill pickle dip

Couple packages of cream cheese, shred or chop some pickles, add some pickle juice and a little miracle whip. Then add more pickles and pickle juice until it tastes good. It’s awesome to put on a ham sandwich as a spread

14# brisket going on the traeger late tonight then a 10# pork butt for Christmas Day.

Ribeye for myself, filet for the Mrs. along with shrimp and a salt crusted baked potato for Christmas Eve after church dinner.

Prime Rib with mashed potatoes for Christmas Day.

Cooked a 14lb ham today as we had the grandkids and family over today. Tomorrow off to mom's for Chinese food and lots of cocktails with all my family. Christmas Day probably cook a tritip and all the fixings as well.

Finally got everyone out of my house. I was very happy with how dinner turned out! Taking a leg of lamb tomorrow to the in-laws and doing a 4.5 pound prime rib roast for Christmas day with just my wife, kids, and, mom.

Bone in ham in the crockpot, smoked cheesy potatoes, and frying up some bluegill filets for appetizers. The wife and my mother have many various things for dessert.
