Lots of sketchy scrap buyers out there as well in that business. How does a scrap buyer justify buying armloads of these things from sketchy tweakers?
Man I miss these commercials. Suburban ford/chevy in Sandy OR. Where I bought my truck.May I suggest…
Sorry to hear about the theft.
Driveshaft?Sorry Jason, that is incredibly frustrating. This happened to my wife's car right out in front of our house last year. They also cut into the crank shaft while getting the CC out, which our mechanic didn't catch because of the way it was rotated when he did the CC replacement. The crank shaft broke about two months later--thankfully while she was in the parking lot at work and not on the freeway.
We no longer park on the street at our house, and installed a motion-activated light and camera on our porch. Tweakers abound.
Ha. Yeah. You can probably tell that I'm a big car guy.Driveshaft?
The hot thing around here for a while was irrigation backflow preventers. Now it's cats.
Holy shit! Hah! That's bold! I take it you realized something was afoot when you started the vehicle and said, "WTH?"This is rampant. I didn’t realize how much so until yesterday.
Happened in broad daylight at a park and ride lot.
The 5.7 really roars right off the manifold."WTH?"
You ever been to a scrap yard? LolHow does a scrap buyer justify buying armloads of these things from sketchy tweakers?
The insurance company just gives him a loud pipes save lives stickerThe cheap fix would be to just slap on a few of these stickers and then everyone would think the straight pipe sound was intentional.
