I've been hunting with the same core group of guys since 1999.
Opening day of Rifle Season in Texas is alway the first Saturday in November.
We hunt out of a camp and Saturday night, we "eat like kings and drink like the homeless"...
and most times, berry cobbler for desert!

We backpacked up the mountain couple of miles and set up in the Outpost to test our backpack gear and tweak our equipment in preparation for a Bob Marshall Wilderness trek.

My teenage daughter posing in front of a North Face Oval Intention that I bought with my first paycheck from a summer job when I was 13 in 1976
Cost $312 and used it for 25 years until my lab wanted inside the tent during a lightning storm and she clawed her way inside.
The Oval Intention was the first geodesic design tent and one is on display in the Smithsonian Museum.

We always have a deer camp eating the last Saturday in September. I pray over the food, the season to come and all the hunters.

AZ elk camp. 10 good years out this relatively cheap tent, the zipper give up the ghost on my last day.
