You out as well hunting or just shooting with camera Dave , I went out to set up some rope to haul my bow nap pack etc. It's been six days so I figure there be not much on cam so I didn't bring extra field. Well lets just say I pay for that. camera show 19 pics on it so I took film and camera and all out. As I was there hooking the stand up I went back to the camera to get it and once again there were turkeys in the field and once again I spook them.I grab the video camera and got as much vidoe as I could but they were heading high and fast and for the first time I got to hear them make a high pitch chirking sound.I'll post pics if I can get good still shots from the video.Allso I place the camera at a angle from the trail and with them game cam it reaches way out there for detecting so alot of the pics are far off. I finished the film off by taking pics of the tree stand after I hooked it up befor I took down the cam. So that way you all know the deer position and where i'm going to be. plus I took a couple pics of the trail from either side of this followen tree.So with that all said I'm going to get some things done and hopefully get the pictures scan and post some time soon. 2005 Moose

Well now I am tired and beet. We went out on Wednesday morning to scout for moose and when we got to the area we wanted to hunt and come down to the medeow there was a bull moose standing in it looking things over. As he left we thought he was headed up into our clear cut. so away we went right to the back of the clear cut and on the way in we see a nice little spike horn dear looking very healthy and when we got to the back we find a cow in the clear cut. We left to get things done at home before coming back that night.
We head back in that night at dark and have an owl fly down the road in front of us. Next we se somthing running down the road in front of us which turns out to be a black bear and three cubs. What a start to the hunt. Thursday morning we bring out a bull that grunts at us just out of sight and he turns and leaves. Rats. That evening same thing comes to the edge of the woods and grunts and leaves. We decied to leave him alone till morning and try and get him then. Friday morning it begins to rain just before dawn and keeps it to dark to shoot till about 7:20am. we get up and head to the truck to get organized I take a quick look down the road and see the same spot (so I thought) that Wendell had seen the day before and turned out to be nothing so I said "If that one down the road would just move so we could shoot it we would be all done" and went back to what i was doing. All of a sudden I hear Wendell say " That is a cow standing down there"
He getts the gun out in a rush and gets a rush shot off and misses her clean. She heads into the clear cut and we pursue. Wendell sees one standing and shoots again, Miss number 2 but the moose moves and Wendell moves into better shooting possition and fires on a bull. He goes down and all is over by 7:45am. One three year old bull weighing in at about 600 pounds down and the rest of the day to get it out with a set of comealongs. But we did it.

Way To Go Guys , Got-r-done. Glad To See You Did Good Bruce And Wendell . Hope That Ben Has The Same Luck As You Too Had.hopefully Next Year I Be Able To Get My License As Well And Have That Kind Of Luck.by The Way I Got My License Taken Care Of Over The Phone And They Are Going To Mail It To My Mom Place.i Allso Got My Stand Back As Well And Put It Together Plus Added The Tarp Around It To See How It Looks.So here is what it looks like dave.I'm thinking of of placing it out where I was set up last year but farther out and in a area where the fur meets the maple type of deal. Or the place where you said you take me out there and show me.Either way we can set a game plan in affect.If I put it where I was last year I got some what of a game plan to run by you. So I hope that you got that gps figure out Well I will post the stand pics and allso some badly pics of turkey from my video still shots.I still need to scan the other pics but not yet. No Luck

HEY GUYS,HAD A GREAT TIME MOOSE HUNTING,NO LUCK THOUGH,BAD WEATHER ,TOO MUCH WIND.FINALLY WHEN I DID CALL ONE IN ,HE HAPENED TO CROSS IN FRONT OF ANOTHER HUNTER BEFORE COMING TO ME.WE WERE HUNTING IN AN UN FAMILIAR ZONE,WITH NOT MUCH SCOUTING HAVING BEEN DONE WITCH CERTAINLY DID NOT HELP,WE ONLY FOUND OUT A FEW WEEKS AGO THAT WE WERE GOING.CERTAINLY BETER THAN WORKING FOR SURE hump HERES A FEW PICTURES IM BEAT I HAVE TO GET SOME SHUT EYE.PICTURES OF OUR STAND,PICTURE OF MY TENT 10x24FEET HOME MADE BUT IT WORKS,PICTURE OF THE BOYS YVON LEFT,ME,MARCO,MARCEL AND NORM,YVON AND NORM WERE THE ONES WE GUIDED

Sorry you didn't get any thing , but like you said it beats work and I wish I was out there just taging along.I see the beer is there as well and I think one of those bottle is schooner ? I never had that for awhile.Today I want to get out and relocate my stand just about ten yards behind where it is now . That you are about to see.Problem with that tree it is fat starting out and narrows as it goes up. making it hell to get up in with this climber I got.Think that climber going to stay in the woods back home when I come and the one I left there that I like better going to come back with me.These are going to be my last bunch of pics til hunting is done or I got to place it out there if people start to travele threw. I figure if I place it high in the tree and angle it down ward I be able to monitor the property when I'm not there.So here is the last bunch of pics.By the way the last two pics of deer that was taken was the same day I was out there with the climber. indicating they were threw that morning sence I was there around 4pm that day. Speaking of day I'm allso going to do up the day I set this all up and post the dates from start to finished on here as well. But that mite be awhile.Oh help full hint dave that I notice as well as you are about to see with the pics. Place your cam at a angle on the trail if you can that way you get ways behind your pic (Like a buck traveling a doe) or other deer that you would not get if you were set up on a direct straight on pic. Just make sure where the sun is going to be and try to place it so that the sun not going to be shining on it at all. Enought said here are the last bunch of pics.

Ok the next pic is where you will see the deer that was there the same day and where the stand is as well.And no the stand is not there to spook any deer.But like I said I'm going to move is just behind that tree. Easier to climb and I got that big infront of me giving me time to draw.

I finish up the film by taking pic of the trail. first one with my back to the stand . As you see the fallen tree and then the other way as you see the stand off in the distance.The rain here seem to stop but not sure for how long. Going to bite the bullet and go out there and get set up on the other stand.Good news is the rain will kill my sent. But the deer are use to me any ways. bad news is I mite get my oct bath ahead of time later guys.

12 of Nov. I will be in Salisbury to a nephews wedding so I will not be able to meet up with you. I will get a chance some day to meet you all though. Trent I have not noticed yet what the dates are that you will be in town? If you have already posted them would you mind posting them again please?

I be geting there on nov 5th and heading back home the 18 or 19th that morning. either friday or saturday.I like to get back a day or to early so I can regroup from that 12 hour hike.And if I get back the 18th then I can hunt opening gun season the 19th. LOL I know sucker for puninishment.Got to stay low profile on me coming up so that my family does not set my whole time there.
