These pictures are from Northern New Mexico, elevation ranging from 7,500' to just under 10,000.
The bear tracks were closer to 8,700'. I was surprised about the raccoon tracks though.

Our cabin. On 20 acres of land surrounded by millions of acres of wild.
The last picture of the cabin in winter was on Easter Sunday. We were having coffee fresh perked. And target practicing with our pistols.

If you notice that 8x12 generator shed in back of the cabin. I insulated it with the intent to make it into a meat locker. I finally got the air conditioner that I'm going to mount on to it freighted out last year. It will be a huge improvement. Now when you pull the trigger the clock is ticking. And having to get a moose to camp hang it to cool n clean up get it 2 miles to the lake then home to process. My hope is that now I will have a walk in cooler and take my time. I have a vacuum sealer there now for delicate meat such as liver n heart and looking for a small freezer that will double as a fridge.
As I age I need to work smarter. And why leave the cabin if you don't have to. Just one of the many things involved in having a remote place. But that's the fun part.
I will start a thread on our cabin n share some stories.
A picture of me freighting a Honda 185 3 wheeler that I disassembled to fit into a 185 on floats. If you've never been dropped off in the middle of nowhere and watch the last connection to the rest of the world this is too cool to try to explain. A toilet for my beautiful wife. I'm putting in a sand point well in the kitchen then TnG pine boards. Everything there just gotta finish. Like the couple loads of freight hauled out last year awaiting to build a wheeler shed. Black bears think wheelers are toys.
And of course our family dog, our grandsons dog Ruby. I'm teaching her to find moose antlers.

Things got a little wet on Friday. My pitch spot ended up a small lake for a few hours. Credit to that little Marmot, when I climbed out of the truck in the morning, there was surprising little water pooled up in it. That bathtub floor works.

I’m not OP. Guess I just speak a little Minnesotan. I’m vertically challenged enough to typically either crash in a vehicle or a tarp/bivy setup so pics aren’t usually taken or aren’t all that interesting.
