Maybe the pressure "taxes" him too much and he eventually snaps?/? We should do a research project and see when else he has had his meltdowns. Remember the one where he kept posting the copyright notice over and over in all of his posts???

:D I'm gathering the reason your still posting to this old thread is because it still hurts both your feelings to have a great learning experience presented in such this manor!!! :eek: :D

Or is it that you boy's, (I'm being generous in guner/sybils case by even mentioning type of sex) enjoy the learning experience, enjoy the pics and close class room contact, and are possibly wanting for more??? ;)

Now some could construe that #3 could have been what you two goofy fuggs were talking about... but.... as it goes... I still have the same mental faculties as I’ve always had, (some may want to question it, but who cares, we all have our own opinions about some one else now don’t we :p )

The other definition I was able to find on this topic was

Meltdown [cultural]
An outburst of rage and/or frustration caused by stress, for instance caused by sensory overload. This is the cultural term for the frequently mentioned tantrums of autistic children, although people of any age may have meltdowns.

A meltdown is not a tantrum.
A tantrum is intentional behavior for the purpose of manipulation. A meltdown, on the other hand, is the loss of self control due to extreme stress. It is vital to keep this in mind.

Outwardly, a meltdown would seem to be the opposite of shutdown, although both are symptoms of the same thing.

:rolleyes: So, by this definition my actions could be taken more as a tantrum, but that still doesn’t fit into the exact guidelines of the definitions... :rolleyes:

So what could I have been doing, as it wasn’t uncontrolled???

Blended learning

Blended learning is the combination of multiple approaches to pedagogy or teaching. For example: - self-paced, collaborative or inquiry-based study. This would fit as it utilized different mediums to get my point across a little more closely.

In addition, a couple more examples that fit into the guidelines of what took place.... :)

Characteristics of Good Tutors
Intelligence alone does not indicate success as a tutor. But what kind of person, what kind of student you are does. It takes a certain kind of person to be a good tutor. Some of the characteristics noticeable in good tutors are:

• Desire to Help: The willingness to assist others without hesitation.
• Empathy: The ability to feel what another person is feeling.

Isn't that an example of a meltdown if someone wasted that much time putting together dictionary definitions in an attempt to convince others that they aren't having a meltdown, but merely a tantrum?

You might be right, you aren't having a meltdown, just throwing a tantrum.
