Boston Marathon - bombs explode at finish

Not sure what to say. A sad day when people cannot gather safely in their own cities without worry of this continued kind of stuff.

Yes, prayers and thoughts to the people and families of those who were injured or killed.

Tragic. This hits close to home for me as I ran there in 2011. In 2011, my wife sat in the bleachers directly across from the finish line blast. I bought my favorite cap from Marathon Sports, which is adjacent to the blast site.

Nothing is sacred.

Thoughts and prayers with the victims and survivors.

God help the souls of those who did it, because the reaper will come knocking, probably wearing an American flag on his sleeve.

My son moved to Boston last year and is an educator. He was on spring break this week and was thinking of going down to watch the finish because his girlfriend had to work. He decided not to because of the traffic. He could have been standing there. We visited him 2 weeks ago and walked right down that street by the public library.

I'm here in Boston for work and its pretty crazy. My buddy's wife was at the finish line when the boms went off. Thankfully she's ok.

Thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this horrible display of cowardice. There is surely a special seat in hell for the perpetrators of this act, I just hope they get to visit it soon.

This is just SICK.... Instead of realizing we have a sick society.. we will get another round of we need to ban ?????... They should gut the perps... sorry JMO

Suadi in custody per reports. Feared this involved a homegrown tax protestor. Terrible act.

Yeah, and hopefully it stays that way.

My first thought was this didn't seem like the kind of target a domestic terrorist would hit, but you never know with crazy people.

Terrible news to wake up to over here..one can only imagine the implications that such a stupid act will have on the residents, the race and people who were attending. I don't hate much, but i hate those 'sickos' in society who feel the need to burden others with their issues and feeling of discontent with the way their life has developed.

Speechless, absolutely nothing more to say on such a senseless act.

I feel so sorry for victims, families, and any/all others affected. Acts like this leaves a knot in your gut.

I hugged my boy that much harder when I heard of the young child that was killed. This is so evil I can't express my shear anger and fear we won't get any closure. My thoughts and prayers for everyone in Bean town and all those injured and their families.
