I am new here, but have posted this info on some other forums. Looks like after spring counts the future of elk hunting in this little corner of Montana is in trouble.

I've tried to let those that read information from these hunting forums know about this. To much competition from predators, and hunters. Either sex seasons are going to have to go, and maybe even permit hunting in some districts. I wonder where the hunters are going to go because the Bitterroot's animals are on there arse? Can you say Madison? Hope Greeny and company are ready for an invasion from the west.
