Bill to move preference points to bonus points dies in House committee

I apologize if there was a thread on this that I missed, but I thought folks would like to know that SF0002 Hunting Licenses - Weighted Bonus Point System failed in the House Travel, Recreation, Wildlife, and Cultural Resources Committee yesterday after having passed the Senate earlier in the legislative session. Thank you @BuzzH for your public testimony. I don't get the sense that this issue is dead -- likely will be an interim topic, but it appears that nothing is going into law this year.

It may be an interim topic, but the word I'm getting it will likely only pertain to the NR side of the draw.

The GF knows they have a problem and I know a couple of us can fix it really easily if they want to talk about it in the interim. Shout out to the outfitters association as well, I worked this bill with them a year ago and they carried through to this year as well.

It was a horrific bill, amended to hell and gone and not accomplishing what it needed to for anybody.

I also hope this is the last we hear of the task farce...I'm over that crap.
