Best 2012 Memory

It was a magnificent year in many respects but this tops it for me. I finally convinced my brother to hunt with me and Dad, and he brought my nephew for his first hunt as well.
First time three generations have hunted together.

Also had some personal achievements.

First ducks, 10 between my wife and I. (Just yesterday)

I had quite a few to choose from this year...muskox, wifes first elk and best buck antelope, moose hunt with my Dad and Brother. All great moments that I'll never forget. Any one of those on a normal year would be tops.

But, hunting wild sheep just flat steals the show.

Good luck to everyone in 2013, drawings, hunts, and otherwise.

I climbed some hills in a few different countries in 2012 and had some great hunts, but nothing holds a candle to the days i spent with my older boy in the outdoors and getting him involved in all the things i associate with hunting and gathering.

All the best for a great 2013 to everybody, we are already into the New Year here in oz and i will be out there in a couple of days looking over a few deer.

Good health and good luck for those rolling the dice with the hunt draws.

My best memories without a doubt was Jake's graduation and then going off to the University of Texas in the fall.

I've was on so many awesome hunts this year it's hard to pick one. I guess if I have to chose just one, it would be my wife's first hunt. (Buzz's sheep was a close second.)

I hesitate to say any one Hunting memory since there are certainly many other higher priorities I should attend to first.

I'm going to say one day in April. I'd been up since before daybreak, run a half marathon for a personal record, and was headed to a local pageant with my family, after moving into my grandparents old house. Kinda made me appreciate the bigger picture.

Easy one.

Best memory and most thankful for my son / hunting buddies safe return from Afganishan this past spring (shot from homecoming in Yuma, AZ). "Life" got in the way of us being able to hunt together this past fall, but it will happen. Got bless all our troops and your families for what you do. Thanks to you Big Fin for your support - it is truly appreciated.

Firsts are always the best and getting to share a first buck over Thanksgiving weekend with my girlfriend's daughter Paulina was tops for me this past year.

Well got to give this day the nod for this year
The best hunting day would probably have to go with my antelope although I did have two great half days of elk hunting

I had 2 hunting trips this year that were awesome. In Wyoming I met Andy and Garret and Mike and his cousin and dad. I didn't kill anything, but meeting and hunting with a couple of Hunt Talkers was awesome. I had an elk hunting trip with Andy and I got to meet his wife that he brought along. Once again, I didn't kill anything. I learned this year that I don't have to kill something to have a good hunt.

Hard to beat Wyoming Antelope with great friends.

Oh and my daughter moved out of the family home, really missing her, just me and the wife rattling around at home now as my son is teaching in Taiwan.

Well there has been a lot of great things happen this year with me it's been more than one deserves. But I gotta stick to the hunting here. So that would have to be going to the artic circle and spending a week on the north slope chasing bou and enjoying the natural wonders of such an awesome place as the artic.

Went on a fishing trip up to Canada with a couple of friends last summer and caught this guy while walleye fishing on 6lb test. Never mind the date on the camera. Never noticed it wasn't set right until now.
