Bear?

Is this a bear track? I think we also saw a very fresh pile of poop to go with it.
This was in unit 27 in AZ last week.

First observation is that it appears very small. Not much for a pad.

It doesn’t look like a bear to me. First, bear have 5 toes, and second the toe pattern very round. Claws aren’t easily identified. Mountain lion.

This is a bear’s track, and a Grizzly to be exact.

It's hard to tell how big that track is from the pic, but it very likely could be a Mexican wolf if you were in Unit 27, or a lion, it's not a clear track in all that crusty snow.

Think those are claw points? They’re not very distinct. Damn icy snow. I thought that was the pads pulling down and back through the snow.

Gerald could be right, I was thinking that was a pad in the middle, but squirrel is more fun. Go back and get a better pic for us...
