My good friend,
Your state is proud to have legalized open carry of swords.
That's some amazingly simplistic thinking right there.

Cherry picking the lowest common denominator is always good for a chuckle
Sounds like a conspiracy.
I woke up in Missoula one Sunday morning but then remembered it was Austin.

Certainly mental health is part of the problem, and I am not expert, but it seems like disaffection is the originating problem. Seems like these shooters come from broken homes, no friends, no ties to school, community, church -- this isolation likely leads to diagnoses, but I don't think medication alone fixes the problem. We have to find a way to make these kids fit in the larger world around them -- develop self-worth and empathy -- whether it be a loner suburban who plots a school shooting, or an urban kid who sees the local gang as the only "family" they can ever have.
Interestingly enough, the state with open carry of swords hasn’t had any mass school shootings, and last mass shooting they had some dude with a Ar 15 got to the shooter before the cops could.. hmmm..

We absolutely ration health care and we absolutely have extended wait times in the U.S. For crying out loud - My dentist has a 4 month wait list. We also have a healthcare system that causes us to hold community bake sales in order to save a kid's life. We are the richest nation in the history of the world, and yet we treat our citizens like servants.
To think that the country who put a person on the moon, saved the world from facism and invented the tide pod challenge can't put together a system of healthcare that saves the indivudial money while getting a better return on our tax dollars ignores what we can do as a nation.
And again, I'm talking about ending a culture that creates the situations where gun violence occurs. Simply arming up schools ignores the root of the problem, and I support having armed personnel/resource officers at schools.
You can still buy a house in Missoula if you have $250K.
Quack: Texas hasn't escaped mass shootings at all. Starting with the UT shooting and forward. Texas has also seen it's share of other mass shootings & gun related violence. I lost a high school friend to it in Houston.
Leave it to a Texan to think a complex issue has a simple solution.
that's the tool that the progressive left uses to control everybody - guilt.
Sorry for your loss
I actually agree with a lot of what you are saying, life experience just gives me a different perspective..
