ATV's & CRITTERS

I'll leave that stuff to you, MOOSIE, 1-P, EG, & IT. Isn't it time for you to go free your mind?

TB-Now do we have to start topics concerning the implications of growing pot, dope, smoke, Mary Jane, chronic, or bud in the Pacific NW?

Why was I implicated in smoking pot??.....You got some???????

quote:
EG, your turn for an educated response.....

My educated guess is that you, at best, have a future taking pictures for the people who make Postage Stamps, as that is about all I can see from your photos.
wink.gif

I didn't even think there were horns on that thing, 'till Buzz pointed it out. And why the flip you want me to age your deer for you is beyond me. I guess the fact that I continued on with my education after Third Grade makes me someone you look to for information.
tongue.gif
For that, I respect you realizing your shortcomings, and seeking knowledge/information from me.
cool.gif

But as far as aging Whitetails, I don't have near the experience Buzz has. I have never killed a little one like that one in your picture, so I can't comment. The big ones I have brought out of Red River have been much bigger. I know the F&G took teeth, but I never followed up and got the data back.

Ten,

I will point out your bad manners, as I think you are out of line. You come into Moosie's "place", and then accuse him of illicit activities. I don't know you from any other pile of dung in Northern Idaho, but my Mom raised me not to behave like that in somebody else's house.

Moosie does not need me to defend him (he might need my help in Spelling
wink.gif
), but I can assure you Moosie is not out firing up blunts. Do you even bother helping Moosie out with a membership or a $$$? Or do you just sit up in your ATV smellin' house and accuse him of breaking the law? Moosie provides you an open door, and has taken in untold numbers of "members" into his house, and you have the gall to take shots at him over the internet.

I would also be willing to bet the same on IT, 1-P, and Buzz, as there is no way you can hunt the crap and the style that those guys hunt (well, maybe 1_P and the Bunny Wabbits), and partake in activities you are accusing them of. Take a flippin' look at some of the pictures they post, and tell me that anybody with a Pot habit would hunt them. Do you have any idea how hard it is to pack Doritos and Frozen Burritos to the top of a Mountain?
wink.gif

You are out of line, Mr. Ten Bears.

Buzz, Those are some great bucks! I really admire anyone who's so into deer hunting they'd keep the jaws for aging future bucks! Actually, in many cases, the age of the animal means a lot more to me than the size of his horns or antlers. My Dall sheep is thirteen and a half years old and that means more to me than the length of his horns. It's hard for me to imagine how he could have lived so long in the NWT with the terrible winters and wolves and grizzlies everywhere.

Congratulations on those bucks!

And congratulations to you too, Ten. Any whitetail buck is something to be proud of. Many hunters would consider your buck the trophy of a lifetime.

Ten Beers, I'm assuming you were breaking a youngster into hunting and that's why you allowed such a young buck to be taken.

Here's a couple high school kids we took hunting this year. Not real big bucks, and the sad part is the one on the right was a 2.5 year old deer.. imagine the potential an animal like that would have with another 5 years on him.

Rich_Jeff_Beau_and_Kurt.sized.jpg

Nice bucks, Greenhorn. That buck on the right looks a little skinny, though. I'm not sure he would have made it through the winter anyway.

Whitetails were invented to break children in with hunting. Here's a kid I know who has been out killing whitetails before he was completely potty trained. Been in on a few hunts this season and has helped dressed a number of animals. He didn't use his ATV, he's prefers to stalk them.

Ty_and_2003_MT_whitetail.jpg

He's the only 2yr old I know that's into primitive weapons..
Ty_Rich_and_Rich_s_Self_doe.sized.jpg

But he thinks a big old mule deer buck is cool also.

Oak, that's just the head and cape, as that one had to be boned out and backpacked out. Here's a picture of it whole earlier that morning... The kid with it is 16 and about 6'3.
Beau_s_2003_MT_Whitetail.jpg

Buzz, those are some awesome bucks! Here's the guy you met at my place a few months back and the one he got.. a 3 year old. We both really overjudged it, but it's a nice pretty buck.
Rich_Whitetail_2003.sized.jpg

The area we were hunting has some amazing genetic potential for trophy whitetails, but there's too many roads. Any mature buck in the rut is easy pickings and there's too many roadhunters in those parts blowing them away.

Here's one last pic of a deer taken there 20 years ago by another little kid. Scores over 180 gross and shows what the bucks can look like if they get over 5 years old in the place we were hunting. This particular little brat didn't use an ATV, he built a blind.

Damn, I might have to move to MT someday. Hmm, Montana Oak...

That's one gnarly lookin' muley. Who killed that beast? The second to last whitetail looks like his main beams almost touch! Thanks for the pics...

HEY 10-bears, You got the URL from the Thumb nail. got to your site, Click on it to Enlarge it, then Right click it and Copy the URL of that picture ,then We can see it.

And get it straight. I like sleeping with Sheep, I'm not a Bong Smoker

I'm probably one of the Few that can Honestly say I've never Lit a ONE in my life... NOW BUZZ and Ithica I wouldn't put it past them, but they are from the 60's era So I'll forgive them
biggrin.gif

Greenym WHO the HELL is that last kid ya posted, He's Uggin' Fuggly !!!! Ohhhhh wait, Was that you 20 years AGO ?!?! OOPS, MY bad

HEY 10-bears... I can Say that I've used a 4-wheeler 2 times. One time to Pack out my First elk :

That being said, I used to think that I would never kill anything unless I had an ATV, Now I'm sure I kill things because I let it sit in the Garage. I wish I'd have the 5k I spent on it for Draw hunts in other states. (Actually I gave it to my Father-in-law this year for $1,600 to Help fund a new BAckpack and Some Equipment for AK) Unlike Buzz and Ithica, I still think there is a Place for the 4-wheeler. It's an Awsome tool if not Abused. I'd lump Gunner into that comment But I know what he carries around in the Back of his Truck so I'll let it be
wink.gif
HEHE.

Those are some great pictures of whiteys and kids Greenie. Way to start them young and successful.

Buzz you have taken plenty of big deer yourself, congrats.

10- I would like to see a larger shot of your deer. Looks like a good one, but do you have any field shots? Although if antlers don't mean anything to you, why don't you shoot does? It is cool that you made some rattlin' horns for someone else.

Awesome whitetails GH! The doe with a stick bow would definitely be a trophy to me, as I think that is the GRAIL when it comes to hunting. Good job of getting the next generation as fired up as you about hunting.

Holy smokes Greenie!

That mulie is impressive!
eek.gif

Some great looking whities too!
cool.gif

Greenie,

I didn't notice the recurve first time. Now that is impressive! Using a recurve is bowhunting.

That is why I use a rifle.
wink.gif

Greenhorn, nice bucks! All of them, congrats to the hunters.

Looks like a great time was had by all.

I can already tell that boy of yours is going to be a terror on the wildlife...just like his Dad.

I bet Greenhorn was the guy in Jr. High gym class that always walked to the shower without holding a towel in front of him, making the rest of the class feel inadequate.
eek.gif

Buzz,
Nice bucks.... I always laugh when somebody challenges your knowledge of something you care about. You always have the "sledge hammer" to use on them, instead of the "fly swatter".

Come over to Idaho after the 1st of the year, and maybe we can take the Jetboat after some Steelhead. (Just don't tell Moosie, or he'll want to go...
shhh.gif
)

'Gunner- I did the towel trick when I was a senior so the freshman would feel better about themselves!
biggrin.gif
BTW, when do I show up for the Steelhead Fest?????
wink.gif
The guy across the hall from me has some pics of him and his family with huge stringers of steelies. He can't fish this year (long story) so I'd like to make him feel better!
biggrin.gif

EG, get off your self righteous high horse, and walk with the rest of us. If MOOSIE wants me to leave "his house" (not yours) he can say so, otherwise keep Ms. Manners to yourself, you seldom use yours around here.

GH, I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but north Idaho isn't known for it's large racks on whiteys or muleys. A good sized buck around here is a 150 - 160, every once in a while we see something in the 180 range.

MTMLR, I do shoot does on occasion, but it only takes one good buck to breed several does, and if there are several bucks in the area, I'll take one of them, and leave the does for multiplying.

MOOSIE, I really have no idea what you're talking about.

(MOOSIES EDIT) working on the picture, will be up in a few mins. If the above doesn't work, I hosted it and Is posted Below :
