ATV mis-use will cost you points against hunting privileges

who would be a better option to field these types of calls?
they that busy with game violations that they cant handle this? I find that hard to believe. Looks to me most of the time they dont do much of anything. JMHO.

Thanks, when it comes to protecting idiots do you place yourself at the top of the list?

Perception goes a long way and this say's it all...

Doesn't mean they aren't busier than all get out, just means JB just hasn't been able to witness it...

I can honestly say I've witnessed the same thing...

Doesn't say they aren't swamped with projects, it just means the many times I've seen them, it looks pretty slow, even boring slow... ;)

It may be different I suppose if I was hanging in different circles... :)

If it's on Federal land, contact the LEO for the office managing that area!

Tone- Now you know somewhat how range con's feel at a F&G meeting! ;)

:D ok.

look here cottage cheese ass,
you'd have to be a real lard ass to think that job keeps you busy.....your fat ass probably sweats watching someone else work.

Pointer-You BLM folks are alright in my book, for the most part anyways. ;)

TheTone JB-I've had my ass called numerous things (awesome, rock hard, amazing, etc.)

and you believed him?

back to the topic:
hopefully, they can get this atv crap under controll......whoever does it.

I got rid of that just because I didn't really feel like dropping down to you, only females have said that type of thing.

JB,
Colorado has 135 officers and 104,000 square miles (2005).
Maryland has 177 officers and 12,400 square miles (2004). I can see where maybe officers in your state appear lazy compared to their counterparts in the west.

...preserved for posterity in case of edit
thanks NHY. lmao :D

whatever you say sweet cheeks.

Oak, ...they are busy as hell "looking for violations". how often have you seen one more than 100' of his car? if they were to field these calls would it cause them to write less tickets? people tearing up shit on a atv is a much bigger problem than some guy not signing his duck stamp or some kid with one to many hooks on his fishing line. "looking for violations" thats funny!

JB,
I've seen them away from their cars plenty of times. Remember, you have to get away from the road yourself if you expect to see a game warden away from the road.

The primary concern for the DOW should be to protect the resource directly. If they can use this law to ding a poacher who has already commited other violations a little harder, great. But the DOW should not be fielding calls about guys on ATVs riding around closure signs. That's a land managment issue (USFS, BLM). When the guy shoots an elk and uses his ATV illegally to haul it out, it becomes a DOW issue.

I agree with Oak, we need more USFS and BLM LEO's out there actually looking for and responding to ATV violations.

Its nice that the DOW enforcement can now scratch a ticket if they just happen to see an ATV violation.
