Are states gonna close hunting early due to covid concerns?

Several local BMAs closed due to fire danger in NE Montana, but Covid doesn’t seem to be slowing anything down.

Motels in town in North Dakota are booked for waterfowl season and no fewer than 6 groups have called looking for houses to rent for a month. They all said they usually go to Canada but are coming to ND instead. I felt bad telling them we just got bumped up to the severe drought category and the wetlands are dry. Will be an interesting season.

I'm curious if some places will close due to the fires

Yep, I had planned on hunting Ptarmigan in the Sierra Nevada but all the NF are closed. The season only last one week, it's over now.
