Archery Elk MT unit 621

So I have tried to focus my time on hunting burn edges for elk during the archery season. Last year I drug my brother on a hunt in the Crazies and we hiked around the 2017 burn and couldn't turn up an elk. The regrowth hadn't come back as thick as I had hoped. This year I applied for the archery tag for the breaks and am wondering if anyone has any info on the 2017 burn in unit 621? Was the regrowth in there looking good last fall? Has anyone ever experience any trouble with theft or anything leaving camp set up around the little rocky mountains area?

It is not worth your time to hunt the little rocky mtns, hunt the breaks if you can get a tag.
