I get emails from Kimber and the last several have only been about pistols. I decided to check their rifle line up and it appears they have stopped making anything new and don't even offer any pretty wood stock models. I know many either love them or hate them. I have 2, a Montana in .300wsm and a Hunter in .243 Win. Is there anyone on here that keeps up to date on Kimber Rifles? Are they just focusing on handguns and throwing in the towl on the rifles?

I've got the 84M in a 300 WSM and I love it. Just a tack driver. They don't chamber very many rounds anymore including that one. Their revolvers I have no personal experience with but friends of mine have boughten them and have nothing but issues with them.

The latest Mountain Ascent rifles came out in the spring of 2023 with limited chamberings. I have a Classic in 308 and picked up a older model mountain ascent in 7mm Rem Mag (new rifle) in the fall of 2022. I have the 308 dialed into 0.65 MOA and the 7mm to 0.5 MOA with handloads. Sad to see the wood stock options disappear from their lineup.

I have two semi-auto 1911's from Kimber, one is a 45 ACP with a 5-in barrel and the other is a 9mm with a 4-in barrel. Both have operated flawlessly. But all of my Kimbers were purchased before their move to Alabama.

It seems that they are focusing more on very lightweight rifles more for mountain hunting. I’m not sure on all the details though.

I bought a 84 used for my wife. I probably wouldn’t have gotten a Kimber but a friend made a good offer on it. For a lightweight rifle it shoots well. Maybe a little more finicky with factory loads but no less than I’ve seen in other makes.
