anyone hunt unit 49 Co?

I have good draw odds for 2nd rifle season in unit 49.I know trophy wise its considered a good unit.I was wondering about the terrain there,access,elk population.If anyones ever hunted archery or 2nd rifle season there could you tell me your what your thoughts are of the unit?I'm thinking the odds of snow would be high so would I need to buy chains for my truck or is 4 wheel drive good enough.

I have hunted it twice during first season. It is a great unit. I took two bulls out of there and had to work hard for both, but it is one of the most fun elk hunts that I have ever done.

Your success will depend on the weather, but there are always some low elk, also. I got my last one at about 10,000 feet on the edge of the wilderness.
