Anyone ever Elk Hunt in Kentucky?

I'm not going to be able to go to colorado this year with a little one on the way; however, as luck would have it, I drew an archery cow tag for Kentucky which is only 4 hours away so it looks like I can break free to have a shot to fill the freezer. Anyone have thoughts or experiences, I would love to hear.

Wow man that is a tough to draw tag right there. I have been applying since day one and the wife nothing. CONGRATS. You shouldn't have an issue getting into elk in KY. Home for me is just across the state line in VA. I don't have any hunt info but plenty of elk and lots of public access in most area's from what I have heard. Should be able to make a weekend or two scouting if only 4 hrs away.
