Not hating. Just knowing a man has to know his limitations. I could tank my retirement on that Governor's Auction tag. (Hunting Fool says it went for $510,000).
I can afford a nice hunt, but MRS constantly reminds me that we do not have as much capitol as many of my hunting friends.

The website says it went for $213k, so I' not sure how to figure out where the $520k came from. But the guy has a huge set of stones to end up killing it on the last day, because either way that would have been a good chunk of change to lose. In the ElkShape podcast he was asked what he farmed, which was my first question. The answer was hay. So maybe the IRS might be interested in checking out the farm, because something doesn't add up.

How would you even manipulate a buck like the rompola buck? Partially came the buck vmremove the skull plate swap and then sew it back up?

Seems like I remember people making accusations that the skull plate was broken to give it a wider spread. Looking at the way the antlers go straight out to the side, you can see why people thought that. Without a 30” spread, it would not be a world record. The ears drooping is another thing that people point to that the skull was manipulated in some way. Who the heck knows.
