Anyone else crying.......

You try reading his post and then tell me that I am wrong.

I didn't say a word about the content or validity of his argument, just that if you want people to read what you post it helps if you make it reader friendly.

As for the election, when I woke up the sun still came up in the East, my wife and kids were still healthy, my dog was happy to see me and my life went on pretty much the same as has every day regardless of who won the election.

In reality nothing changed, the people voted for the exact same leaders we have had for the past 4 years. Nobody can claim a mandate, nobody is going to get everything they want.

PS. I am heading out to here tomorrow morning so I could care less about politics right now.

Now that looks like fun!! I need to get better at deer hunting so I can tag out sooner and have time for other critters...

:):):) Now that's funny.

Ironic the south votes Republican. Maybe they don't remember Lincoln was Republican.

What is Ironic is that Lincoln's Republican Party has no resemblance to todays Republican Party, yet someone always posts something like this. Same goes for the Democratic Party. John

Diem...your a doctor...I understand your inability to write in paragraph form...and the content of your mesage was spot on.

Nemont, that body of water contains fully 80% of our entire fall migration (ne ohio)...be gentle.

On the election, the GOP is clearly a fractious bunch that has failed to take into account the changing demographics of America. George Will is brilliant as always (except for his 2012 election prediction) and puts things into the proper historical context in todays column.

well, you should be happy. hope you get everything you deserve and want from this president.

I'm happy that Tester won re-election and that Bullock will be our next governor. Those both spell good things for public lands, and the public land economy, which is over $3 billion in MT alone.

I'm disappointed that tobacco companies and power companies bought the attorney general's race in MT, and I'm very disappointed that there was no better option than Obama for president.

I am happy that once again Americans overwhelmingly participated in the most basic form of democracy, and regardless of the outcome, the vision of the founding fathers was, once again, proven accurate.

I would just simply echo many of the sentiments here that it's time to quit the bitching and get on with ensuring another 240 years of America's greatness.

well, can not echo those sentiments here. elected more democrats to continue illinois' march towards bankruptcy as a state.

I'll take a western democrat over an eastern liberal anyday. Good luck.

Huge difference between Western Dems and IL Dems. Virtually no public lands to hunt in IL. They take in $1 and manage to spend $5, of which $4.50 of that gets funneled back to Chicago. Shameful the way our state govt operates here. The state as a whole is conservative except it gets led around by uber-liberal Chicago. They should be their own fiscally insolvent state. A little mini-version of Greece right here in the midwest.

I'll chime in my $.02 since I'm sure everyone is justing waiting for one more comment.

I don't believe this election was about Obama or Romney as much as it was a statement about the condition of our populace. This country was founded on fundamental christian values and that the federal government should be as small as possible and still be able to protect the rights of the individual. People were intended to make their own way and keep the fruits of their labors. It is now clear, in case anyone had any doubt, that the premise of the founders of our nation is now obsolete. We are no longer a nation of people willing to make their own way and accept responsibility for their actions. The majority have spoken and they have said they want an equal share of American prosperity as an unearned birthright. Hell, some even want their share by virtue of simply making inside our borders. They want every one to give all to the government and have the ruling class distribute an equal share to the common man because they believe they cannot improve their situation on their own.

This didn't happen in the last four years but more like the last 50 years. It is not a Democratic or Republican problem, it's an American problem. We no longer teach the core values of the early Americans nor do we teach personal morality. We let our youth learn their world view from a morally bankrupt popular culture and reward them for participation instead of results. We let our representatives get away with what we know is wrong and rationalize it because the other guy was worse. It is a sad state of affairs. I'm sorry I lived long enough to recognize that the "Great Experiment" that is the original government of this country is on it's way to extinction. These last two presidential election cycles have proven the tipping point has been reached and we are now heading in an ever escalating state of decline. Not because of the person that won, but rather by the statement made by the voters, that they no longer want the government of the past. We are witnessing the end of the constitutional republic and the birth of the American social democracy. We have no one to blame but ourselves for allowing the social revolution that began in the 1960's to continue unchecked by refusing to draw a line in the sand and say "No more!". We gave up our liberty little by little until some people today don't even know what has been surrendered. I fear the only hope for a return to the values of our predecessors will be a total collapse of the government and, hopefully, there will be enough of the right people around to re-establish the American way of life from the rubble. In any case, I won't be around long enough to see the return. The end of the American Era is on the horizon. We can now take our place along side Great Britain and Spain as a "has-been" nation with a memory of when we were once the "Leader of the Free World".

Sagebrush, how dare you bring up Christian values and morality on a forum board ruled by the Montana Communist Party.

Well said, sagebrush!

BTW, I haven't spent money at McDonald's in years, ever since they started contributing 2% of their net profit to the United Negro College Fund. If they had established a McDonald's Scholarship Fund that would be geared to all races, it would be different. I prefer to pick which charities I donate to, and the UNCF isn't one of them! Racist, not in the least, the fact that McDonald's is being racist tends to be ignored.

Also, the owner of the franchise that had the flag upside down at half mast, also stated in the article that a cable was broken, which caused the flag to hang from the pole in that position..........maybe the N'or Easter that's been blowing so hard had something to do with it????????

What happens when there are more people riding in the cart than there are people enough to push it. Seems to be the situation.

Damn sagebrush. I was already having a really chitty day and now I go and read
your downer post.:(
I don't think even rereading mtmillers lets all be good neighbors post is going to help cheer me up after reading that.:D

Sagebrush, I think you hit the nail on the head! My grandfather spoke those same words to me yesterday. He referred to our nation's populace increasing to a palms up people rather than a hardworking palms down people. Everyone feels a sense of entitlement these days and you are right that people are rewarded by participation rather than results!!

By the way, I think you should run for president in 2016! LOL!

I also want to add that the comments about us who are unhappy about the election to quit our bitchin is absurd. That is the mentality of the democrats is to just deal with everything they put out and not stand up for our principles. Kind of like a bow down mentality b/c we don't know what is best for us. It is a democracy and if everyone didn't bitch a little bit, then who there would be nothing worth fighting for. This is a large part of why people do not care for Obama and his "my way or the highway" mentality telling everyone who disagrees with Him that they just don't know what they are talking about.

Again, this is the same thing as 2004. Some people remember history, others repeat it.

Well said. We are on now an an inevitable course where we will become a slightly different flavor of any European country, take your pick. The line has been moved. The constitutional republic our forefathers envisioned is now in the rear view mirror, never to be seen again.

Who gives a damn about 2004?! What is your point? When you get tired of big government and higher taxes, we'll be here waiting to have a REAL conversation with you.
