Jacob Slavin has represented my Canes, and the USA, well in this tournament so far. Pretty impressive given the depth of skills coming at them from team Canada.

I think adding Russia and combining Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark into a Nordics team would be even better. Not sure the Nordic guys would like that though, but it would give them a better chance at winning.

The game at noon today should set the Championship. I don't think Finland can pull it off but should still be a good competitive game.

In general Carolina’s guys (I suppose we can include Guentzel in that since he had an espresso there) have been nails in this tournament. Maybe the reset that Rantanen needed, too.

The game at noon today should set the Championship. I don't think Finland can pull it off but should still be a good competitive game.

I land at work about 11:45 and have to pick up a client at the airport. Getting him to watch the 1st period on the way to the office Will be a more intricate sales process than selling the project in the first place

I think there are a lot of players that fit into this.

From the Wild, I know this is great for Brodin (coming back from his injury) and Ek (who really hasn't played well since returning from his injury months ago). Brodin isn't playing the best in this tournament but the goal he got surely has to spark some confidence. Ek is playing extremely well and while I personally felt he didn't belong on this team, he has certainly proved me wrong. Hopefully that returns to MN on Saturday.

Then there is Boldy. Again, I felt he was a bottom play for team USA but boy was I wrong again. He is noticeable on the ice almost every single shift he plays. Guentzel is probably the front runner for MVP of this thing so far but honestly I see Boldy not far behind him.

There is no way Canada ends this game with 3 goals. If I could bet here (dumb WI), I would gladly place money on them scoring 5 plus goals at this point.

Probably true if FIN's D keeps up with the soft turnovers, but I don't think FIN can score 3 in any case (and that's despite 3 of my favorite players on their top line together).

What a tournament. I think I have my wife talked into Milan 2026 once flight schedules open up in a month. Preemptively booked a hotel already. Despite having been near a couple of winter games while they were in progress, I've never actually attended one.

Ive considered going as well, but the thing ive noticed in past Olympics; You cant just buy hockey tickets, and just buy the games you want to go to. They make you buy ticket packages with a bunch of other shi* i could care less about going to. Its just a way to force you to buy more tickets to events you normally wouldnt pay a dollar for, to go to anything you want. That in itself has kept me from going. . Be interesting to see how it works out for this one.
