Any Doctors here lol

Pregabalin (Lyrica) is an option to gabapentin with milder side effects.

Fusion is basically a 50/50 surgery on helping. And there are downsides as many have posted. My wife is going through this; at her height of 6'1" surgeon estimates 20% chance of success.

Neurologist recommended a Copper Fit X-Back Brace, which helps if she has to walk very far. Overuse of braces can cause muscle atrophy according to some, but he's really good.

On her second epidural, which is working so far. She has done the core exercises for decades.

Good luck.

Back story I’ve been doing PT for well over 15 years now lol, I crawl around on my hands and knees. My wife and son pretty much do most things for me….. I have another steroid shot today, I’ve had 1 shot and 1 oral treatment in the past 3 months, lol just to clarify that I want to do the surgery myself 😂
Could always try and get an RFA while you figure stuff out. They burn off all the nerves and lasts for about 6 months and allows you to pt without the pain! I had it done and it hurt like hell but it was worth it so I could get some good pt in

Also I am glad to know that a bunch of you have these issues and still push through it to hunt. It's hard not to feel defeated when you are knocked down for a couple of days after a hunt.

My back had been doing pretty good will 3 of us decided it’d be a good idea to load 2 cow elk in the back of a pickup whole. It’s weird, I keep getting older but I don’t feel like I get any wiser…….
